Oh. I've tried Hexxeh's build. Good luck finding the power button, I sure can't. I'm not even sure there is one. I like to keep my Chrome OS on a tiny Flash Drive that I can plug into a misbehaving computer and magically make it work.

Jolicloud is really solid. We used it as the base for a kiosk application running in Chrome. I would recommend you use the latest version of any Ubuntu derivative, because they usually get better hardware compatibility with each release. ChromeOS would probably have worse compatibility with your hardware because it is older.

What type of encryption does your wireless network use?

heh, yeah it's missing. I use the hardware power button, it cues a shutdown sequence.

My network uses WPA/PSK I think. It's an Wireless N network, and I have an N antenna on my Netbook.

Interesting. So it connects but then drops after a little while? I usually attribute that to the WPA key timeout. Might want to set it to something a little longer (the default is usually 1 hour).

Also, any netbook-related suggestions would be AWESOME. I would love to make amoebaOS the most netbook-friendly online OS (if it isn't already - any of the Flash based ones would be too slow).

The ONLY problem I've had with running amoebaos on my netbook is that the minimum height of some windows is larger that the maximum height of my screen.
